I’ll be holding cuppings with anyone who’s interested every Tuesday @ 2 pm. We’ll have weekly sign up sheets in the cafe or you can email me to reserve a place. I’ll probably cap each session at six to eight people (depending on how the first couple go), but can always make exceptions if you get that last slot and really want to bring a friend.
This is outside of my normal production cuppings, so I’m excited to have some fun with it. Look for some of my favorite coffees on the table, along with some really defective samples from time to time!

Sniff. Slurp. Spit.

“Cupping” is the highly ritualized methodology for coffee sensory assessment and evaluation. It’s how we judge crops and roasted batches to decide which coffees to buy and serve. It’s also an incredibly fun experience utilizing sight, taste, touch, and smell!
On the table will be some of our favorite lots of the season, representing all three growing regions!

finally! tuesdays at 2 is tough for those with real jobs, but fortunately, that does not apply to me. will certainly be there within the month.
I was hoping you’d be interested in coming. A surprising amount of my regulars have flexible schedules, so I’m hoping the time works out. We might end up rotating it every few months to accompdate a broader set.
Already edited the post to mention I’ll be on vacation for the Tuesday of the 20th, so don’t try too hard to clear up your schedule that day!
We had a great cupping yesterday. I was really impressed with the Mexico.
We’re going to absolutely love holding these weekly! Even though I’d bagged it in reserve before yesterday, that batch of Balmadi is still being served at the cafe. The Mex is great, but that is what I was most excited about. It has never had such an intensely sweet fragrence before. I’ll be drinking it today when I get in.
maybe with my new schedule i can make it to a public cupping…since the private home cupping’s, I’m not allowed to talk…
p.s. take that picture of me down
Yes! We’re rarely home together for my production cuppings.
…and I don’t discourage you from talking!
